Before

Typical new home kitchen with tile countertops. Not enough room for an island.


After

A 2'6" extension gave the room enough width for a good sized island and added peninsula.

We pushed the window out another 12" with a raised ledge that gave the room even more size.

Granite countertops, rough-sawn limestone splashes, high-end appliances and multiple counter heights gave this knotty pine kitchen a grand new look.

Don't overlook the distressed paint on the island and window trim. They work very well with the heavily textured walls and ceilings.

A tile mural over the bake center and the owners' antique piece used as a pot rack personalize this room.
